Mike Cook, a pitcher from Charleston, S.C., spent parts of five seasons in major league baseball.  His career included a 1-6 record and 5.55 ERA in 71.1 innings pitched.

His best season came in 1987 when he appeared in 16 games with the Angels and finished with a 1-2 record and a 5.50 earned run average.

He attended the University of South Carolina prior to playing in the major leagues.
