Thuman pitched in 5 majorleague games for a total of 9 innings. He finished 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA.Thuman began his militaryservice in April 1940 and was one of the first baseball players to enterthe service.  During the D-Day invasion,he was wounded by a bullet from a sniper and the injury prevented him fromreturning to a career in baseball. For additional info on Thuman, clickhere.
