A graduate of Erskine College in Due West, SouthCarolina, Moody finished the season with an 0-1 record and a 4.26 earnedrun average in 19 innings pitched.  Moody notched 12 strikeouts.Moody was most recently pitching as part of the Florida Marlins and San Diego Padres minor league systems. In 2001, he pitched in the Pirates organization for the AAA Nashville Sounds. He finished the season with a 5-6 record, 3.45 earned run average in 112.1 innings pitched. Moody was selected by Texasin the 24th round of the 1993 amateur draft. He was signed by Jim Fairey,a former major league player and Erskine graduate. That year, he made hisdebut with Erie (A) in the Texas organization. In 1998, he went on the 60-daydisabled list with pain in his elbow. In the off-season, he had surgeryto remove bone chips. He returned in 1999 to go 7-2 with a 3.42 ERA forTexas’ AAA team.In 1990, he attended San Diego’s training camp as a non-roster invitee and he started with season with AAA Las Vegas. After spending some time on the DL, he was released in May of that year. He signed with Florida and spent the rest of the season at AAA Calgary.
