Ed Chandler, who pitched for Brooklyn in 1947, died on July 6, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Chandler debuted with the Dodgers on April 18, 1947 and, in 15 games that season, compiled an 0-1 record with a save. He pitched in 29.2 innings in the majors, including one start, struck out 8 and finished with a 6.37 ERA. His last appearance in the majors came on June 14, 1947.

In two major league at-bats, he had a sacrifice and an RBI.
