Alta Cohen, who played for Brooklyn in the 1930s, died March 11, 2003, at the age of 94.

He played in 29 games in the major leagues — 10 with the Dodgers and 19 with the Phillies.  In 67 at-bats, he had 13 hits and drove in 2 runs.

Prior to debuting with the Dodgers in 1931, Cohen played for the Toledo Mud Hens and had been a AAA all-star.

He worked in New Jersey following his retirement from the game.
