He was the brother of Major Leaguer Frank LaryA majority of Lary’s career was spent in the minor leagues, but he did make appearances with the Chicago Cubs beginning in 1954. In 1955, he made appearances in four games a pinch runner.Lary died as a result of accidental drowning in July 2001.
