Following the season, the New York Yankees brought him backJodie was called up by the Yankees to start a game against the Blue Jays on July 21. Jodie allowed seven hits and six earned runs in two innings and was returned to AAA Columbus after the game. He was called up from AAA Portland by the San Diego Padres at the end of August.While his debut did not go well with the Yankees, he finished with a 0-1 record and 4.63 ERA in 23.1 innings for the Padres.He pitched 30.1 innings for AAA Portland, compiling a 2-0 record and a 4.75 ERA.Jodie started out the season with Norwich, but was promoted to Columbus after pitching just 14 innings. He was 10-1 in Columbus with a 3.01 ERA in 19 starts.Jodie pitched the 2000 season for the Tampa Yankees, finishing with an 11-4 record and 2.57 ERA in 143.2 innings.
