He often asked histeammates, including Brooks Robinson and Boog Powell, over to his mother’shouse for crab cakes. He played the most in his first season with Baltimore, in 1959, when he had 16 hits in 79 at-bats.  Shetrone hit .203 with five RBI and three SB.Following his baseball career, Shetrone was active in championship softball and was inducted into theMaryland Softball Hall of Fame.
