Died: Jan. 9, 2003 in Pittsburg, Cal.Debut: 1957 | Pos: OFH: 6′ | W: 180 | B: L | T: RYrs G AB H HR RBI SB BA8 456 1160 272 12 75 36 .234>> Visit the Don Landrum biography on Baseball Almanac for complete statistics.Don Landrum, an outfielder with the Phillies, Cubs and Giants, died on Jan. 9, 2003 in Pittsburg at the age of 66.He debuted with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1957, appearing in just 2 games.From 1960-1962, he played for the Cardinals. In 1962, he was sent to the Cubs and played for Chicago through the 1965 season. His most productive season came in 1965 when he had 425 at-bats for the Cubs. He hit .226 with 6 home runs and 34 RBI. He also stole 14 bases.In December 1965, the Cubs traded Landrum and Lindy McDaniel for the Giants for Randy Hundley and Bill Hands. His last season in the major leagues came in 1966 with the Giants.Following baseball, he returned to Contra Costa County, Calif., and worked in various businesses there.
