Jim Mangan, a catcher who played in 45 games in the major leagues, died on July 19, 2007 in San Jose, Calif.
Mangan, who made his debut with the Pirates in 1952, hit .153 in 59 at-bats in the majors. His career totals include five RBI.
He played for Pittsburgh in 1952 and 1954 and for the New York Giants in 1956.
