Dick Kryhoski, who played in 569 major league games, died on April 10, 2007 in Beverly Hills, Maine.
He hit .265 in his career with 45 home runs, 231 RBI and five stolen bases. His career included stops with New York AL (1949), Detroit (1950-1951), St. Louis AL/Baltimore (1952-1954) and Kansas City (1955).
One of his most productive seasons came in 1951 with Detroit. He hit .287 with 12 home runs and 57 RBI in 421 at-bats.
He was traded by the Yankees to the Tigers in December 1949 for Dick Wakefield. In February 1952, the Tigers traded him, along with Gene Bearden and Bob Cain, to the St. Louis Browns for Dick Littlefield, Ben Taylor, Cliff Mapes and Matt Batts.
In 1954, he was involved in a 17 player trade between the Yankees and Orioles. His contract was sold to the Kansas City Athletics in March 1955.
