Irv Hall, who played in 508 games for the Philadelphia
Athletics, died on Dec. 12, 2006, in Baltimore, Md. He was 88.
Hall hit .261 in 1,904 games with 168 RBI and 16 stolen bases. His mos
productive season came in 1943 when he hit .256 with 54 RBI and 10 stolen
bases in 544 at-bats.
According to reports, he worked as a manager in the St. Louis Browns'
organization after he retired as a player.
